It seems harsh to criticise a fighters reign if he lost the title quickly.

It means he didnt realy have time to avoid anybody.

I guess so but in my opinion it's better to beat nobodies than nobody.

You Mean vitali right? Wladimir is having a great title reign right now...He is making a huge effort to fight all the top young studs out there like haye and potvekin and he has unified one of the belts....something larry holmes never did. Wladimir has career 6 title defenses of IBF title and career 8 title defenses of WBO title including his early reign. Wlad has a chance in the next 2 years to knock off some good names. I hope he does it.

The guy with the horribly **** poor title reign is vitali klitschko...he won his belt from an out of shape inactive 39 year old golfer, then defended his title over C level Danny Williams then RETIRED.... That is awful. He did come back and get a strong win over overweight Sam Peter, but Peter has been exposed by now as not a world class fighter. His last defense was over a blubbery 36 year old juan carlos gomez, who looked well past his prime.

I have always respected Wlad a lot more than the other beltholders of his era because he is the only one who is serious about fighting the more dangerous challengers.

Frankly he is the only one motivated to turn up to the fight without flab wobbling out of the top of his waistband.

Can you imagine turning up to a title fight in the condition of Ibragimov, Peter or Chagev if boxing was your career and livelihood?

Did you catch Juan Carlos Gomez against Vitali? Gomez had a roll of flab around his entire upperbody. Seriousely what was he thinking coming into any fight at 230lb? He looks so much trimmer, faster, sharper at 210-215lb.

You have to wonder about these guys.

    Do they even want imortality?

Some fighters have gone to ridiculous lengths to narrow the odds in a title fight. I the bareknuckle era you basicaly sacrificed your hands to be a contender (eg you would never be a carpinter in the future).
