I might have to go with John Ruiz .vs. Leon Spinks. Ultimatley Spinks might squeek out with the Win.

    John Ruiz vs. Hasim Rahman

That fight already did take place.

Baer-Braddock was the worst fight I've ever seen.

Any fight with John Ruiz on the card has the potential to be the worst fight ever. It can only get worse every time he fights.

Nah, Spinks was at least active and aggressive at all times. Even his skills were hardly bad; he had a good bob-and-weave and wasn't exactly a windmill puncher.

I'd say Henry Akinwande vs. John Ruiz.

Akiwande put on some decent fights. Watching him destroy Peter McNeely definitely wasn't boring.

Lennox/Akiwande was ****ing terrible though. Forget Ruiz fights.

Interestingly, Ruiz-Chagaev was a very exciting fight, where they traded with very little holding for the first 7 rounds. After that, Ruiz got tired and went back to huggie style.

    I honestly can't fault Ruiz.

He's not a physical specimen. He never will be.

He's gotten a lot out of what he has and even after a brutal KO loss against Tua that ends some peoples careers (Jeremy William's against Peter anyone?) he adapted and had a successful career.

Akiwande I can fault more cause the dudes six foot ****ing seven with a 86' inch reach among a dozen other physical tools he's got to work with.

Ruiz is/was a talented fighter, he's not a club fighter/bum who somehow became a world champion by holding (despite what Zakman would have you believe) - if you remember the support he had early in his career (and it wasn't just partisan Latino support) it was based on the fact that he did seem to be the best of the young crop of heavies of the era. yes, it is true that the Tua fighter changed him for the worse- but hes definitely a betterfighter than the likes of Akinwande.
