Jack Finnegan then gets into the mix-or God forbid George Courtney!

I'd say Jack Finnegan. Getting floored 4 times and taken out in 55 seconds by a 250lb. overweight Jeffries says it all for me.:good

Richard Dunn. Anyone blasted out by Bugner in one minute has to be one of the worst. Although at least he tried to win against Ali (unlike Bugner).

    ....and Ali.

No way. Tex Cobb for all his shortcomings was actually a pretty good fighter. Of course Holmes made him look about as graceful as a pile of wet towels, but Tex had some good moments in the ring, and some respectable performancs both in victory and defeat.

    performance speaking?

as in what they brought to their title fight?

Crying McCall or Huggy Akinwande come to mind. Those fights were damn near disgraceful.

not the worst fighters to challenge of course but what they brought to the table that night either one gets my vote.

I will nominate one fighter as having the worst overall abilities from what I can get.

    Jeffries it was Finnegan
    Johnson probably Ross
Burns vs. Squires III seems really unneccesary.
Louis vs. Roper (sure he was on a roll but he still brought with him 40 loses or something)
Ali vs Dunn or Lubbers or Evangelista (last one was a terrible, terrible fight)
    Frazier vs. Stander or Daniels
    Holmes vs. Evangelista

true he wasnt a journeyman it was just cause he was so ill matched against a prime holmes.

holmes threw his jab and it landed every time. of course tex cant get passed it and knew his only way to win was to "stumble forward and continue to get hit" becuase he had nowhere to go if he had backpedaled he would of got smacked by holmes's offensive arsenal...so he just tried to land that one punch.

and of course you cant stop a fight if the guy is only getting hit by (but still powerful and accurate and high worked) jab.

it wasnt becuase he was so bad it was becuase holmes was soo good....of course tex wasnt truely an elite heavy but you can see my point that holmes had a technical approach that won him every round

:good the weakest chin i have ever worth seeing.

bone china tough tough man but was just unable to keep hi legs striaght....everytime he was hit cleanly his legs went to jelly and he just went.

good guy and a nice man i have heard (but i also heard he is a bit of an "oh look it's me" type of *****)
against ali...who could punch on a good day but really isnt known for a power puncher....knocked him more times than rounds

    Indeed.

Holmes vs Cobb was mismatch. Larry was fairly close to being in his prime, albeit he was nearing his 33rd birthday, but cobb at least survived the full 15 rounds, something that a lot of Larry challengers weren't doing around that time.

Can we include WBO? Some humdingers there.

I nominate Damon Reed. I like his first name, but that's about it.
