tex cobb at least fought ken norton, dokes 2 times, knocked out earnie shavers. if you want to talk about the worst...how about carl davis drummond?
At the the challenger's of the past 25 years have actually built up decent records, or beaten top contenders for their shot. Yeah, their 33-1 records may have been against cans, but they had good winning percentages, or the guys with the 18-2 records, won eliminators to get the shot. Back before the 80's any auto mechanic with 30 fights, even if he was 23-7 could get a shot. I mean the movie Rocky was based on this type of nonsense.(Although it is one of my AT favs) Audley Harrison, bad as we think he is, still beat the **** out of Gerry Cooney, Leon Spinks, and Ronny Lyle, all perrenial challengers for the titles when I was growing up watching ABC wide world of sports.
Being a gold medalist should not make immune from being regarded as the worst in the pros. remeber Fraudley was a gold medalist too
Still trying to figure out how that happened :huh Pro ranks are totally different as the amatures, but still... :blood
What a career Patterson,Folley,Chuvalo,Moore,Mildenberger,Bobo Olson Albeit he lost most of these, but thats not too shabby for 23 fights
but loses to 10-0 sam sexton? audley is horrible....none of those guys you mentioned lose to him.,,,,
Ray Austin, Tony Thompson, The Hasim Rahman that Vitali or Wlad fought. Basically anybody The Klits have fought and anybody Tyson fought during his championship reign
Audley Harrison would die if he got in there with Lyle, Cooney, or Spinks. Cooney would KO him early, so would Lyle. Spinks would beat his ass and make him quit. You can't be serious.
