Worst matchup for Mike TYSON ?

Actually I'm not so sure holmes beats Tyson either. I get that he was inactive and old, but their actual fight didn't give me much confidence. He waited way too long to use the uppercut and he was giving rounds away due to a lack of offense. Holmes had a hell of a jab but he was sometimes overly reliant on it and Tyson was good at timing quick snappy jabs.

As destructive as Foreman was to Frazier, I think that Tyson is more similar to Patterson than Frazier. Same trainer, similar styles, similar early life stories etc. Liston annihilated Patterson in their 2 fights even more definitively than Foreman did to Frazier.

Foreman probably beats him too. After that probably Lewis and then the Klits like most ppl are saying. I don't think every big man beats him, though. I think he'd decision Valuev and I think he does surprisingly well against Fury and could batter his way to a decision or even a TKO. KO's Wilder and AJ and many of the big men of recent years.

Ali and Holmes I think are pickem fights not nightmare matches for Tyson imo. The fact is that one thing that seems to mark what could be described as "prime tyson" is that he didn't have lackluster nights. Holmes and Ali did. The inverse of that is that Holmes and Ali both overcame adversity on off nights and came back to win. I think I'd favor Holmes and Ali, but only if they really brought their best selves. not because I think they had a style advantage or were incapable of losing a decision to a lesser fighter.

I think prime vs prime it's closer but Holyfield still is favorite over Tyson.

For a dark horse I'd like to see roided out Povetkin hammer it out with Mike to a contentious decision for either one.

 

Vitali, Fury, and Holyfield (juiced). He’d still have a great chance against all. Matches up fine with Ali, but that would be close odds bc of Ali’s overall level.

Def NOT Foreman and Holmes.

 

Prime Foreman, Holmes, Louis, Ali of 1964-1974...MAYBE prime (or as you say, juiced) Holy, Vitali, the Bowe who beat Holy I, the Lewis who knocked out Rahman, Liston on his best day...

I'll go with Ali. Holy, Foreman and Lewis are 50/50 imo. I think he's all wrong for Holmes.
