I hope we get the same disappointment out of canelo fans. I doubt it though. Even if Spence kos canelo I’m sure it will be a delayed 20 count and his fans will say he slipped or some bs.
I have friends that are such tribalists they even said canelo beat Floyd 7-5 or 6-6 a draw. Same guys told me all lara did was run.

I don't pay too much attention to P4P rankings or how popular a fighter can get. That's nonsense.

All I care about as a fan is that the best fight the other best.

If a fighter isn't doing whatever it takes to fight the top fighters in his division then I'll find myself rooting less and less for them.

Fighters like Ward, Canelo, Jacobs are very easy to root for because they are on a mission to be #1.

Fighters like Golovkin, and Mikey, I find it hard to root for them because they're always in fights against overmatched opposition.

 

We knew Mikey being at a disadvantage in size, required him to take more chances than usual to win. Still don't understand what he saw in Spence to make him chase the fight to begin with, especially after that performance. He would have been better off going after Loma or pac.
