    Burt,

Correct,,,,,,,,,,Cleveland Williams was a 'shot fighter'.

Shame on Muhammad Ali for not taking Cleveland out in the '1st Round'.

    The guy could barely walk.

Roy this last weekend was dire. His opponent was robbed in that fight.

Getting dropped hard by a guy who quite literally cannot crack an egg shows that the last grains of sand Roy might have had left are gone. I've never seen him slower or more wooden, ever. It's sad, as he's a friend, but it's time he bows out.

Leonard vs. Camacho was horrible. Ray was slow. Ray freaking Leonard, slow. He couldn't get off the left with getting zapped and missing by a mile, and was instead looking to lob clumsy right hands, each one put him out of balance because his legs were gone. Also, super rusty. Ray never did know where his feet were, and he had some of the best footwork in his prime any fighter ever had, ever.

Glen Johnson looked shot against Bute. Usually pretty sharp and accurate for a pressure guy, and immeasurably determined, Glen couldn't hit an opponent who is definitely hittable, slick as he is on offense, backed off clumsy after exchanges, and, in the 12th round, for the first round I can remember in his career, looked exhausted. Fight a no hoper and retire, Glen.

Zora Folley versus Mac Foster (September 1970)

A 'fat', 39 year-old Zora doesn't make it out of the 1st Round.

    Hate to say it,,,,,,,,,

But Wilfred Benitez vs Matthew Hilton.

    Now, that was 'sad'.

Wilfred's handlers should have never ever put him in the ring with a hard-hitter after
the Thomas Hearns bout in December 1982.

Another one not mentioned was a fight I actually looked forward to at the time; Little Red Lopez against Rodriguez. Talk about a guy with nothing left, but he was still young and I thought his legs hadn't been bad in those Sanchez fights. But he was maybe at 30% and it's a real shame watching old favorites go out like that.

That's the time when you wish you didn't follow boxing as much as the other sports. Their athletes do not fall so far the way boxers do and it's absolutely merciless.

Cornelius Boza-Edwards versus Jose Luis Ramirez.

Boza-Edawrds was 'practically' falling down from getting hit with mediocre punches.

Johnny 'Bump City' Bumphus versus Lloyd Honeyghan, "Still the one to beat".

Johnny could barely make it up the ring steps, as his legs were already giving out.
