Tor Hamer vs Andy Ruiz jr. Hamer came out fast and landed a good right hand in the opening seconds. But Ruiz was not shy of a gunfight and fired right back. Hamer clearly got the better of Ruiz in rounds 1 and 2, and he landed some bombs on Ruiz. I don“t recall many fights where Ruiz got hit so clean so often. Ruiz then landed a nasty combination in the 3rd, a few more clean punches to the body and then Hamer decided not to come out for the 4th. He had one bad round and immediately packed it in and never fought again. Which was a shame because I liked Hamer at the time, he was a decent boxer but I think he had stamina issues and clearly lacked the mentality for boxing. That fight stuck with me because of just how Hamer gave up. This content is protected A really good fight tho.
And Lennox's retirement might have something to do with him being 39 and feeling like he doesn't have it anymore.
Agreed. Lewis was 37, felt his age and decided to walk away while still on top, nothing wrong with that.
Yup, my reply was strictly provocative to show double standards that the guy I was responding to had.
