That was terrible. Willie Pep's refereeing in the Harada - Famechon 1 bout is some of the worst I've seen. I can't forget forget Howard Foster in several bouts, either. Joe Cordina from Matchroom always seems to have a ref favourable to his fouls too.
The upside of it was hearing Jim Neilly in a rage calling Tilleman a moustachioed buffoon. I tend to think when he died he still got paid off for a premature stoppage.
Howard Foster comes from down the road from me. We saw him in the pub in Doncaster not long after Froch-Groves. Two blokes who were pissed up starting arguing and I honestly grabbed him on the shoulder and told him not to split it up. He called me a smart c*nt.
What about Gainer vs Norwood, I need to rewatch this but didn't the ref go above a 10 count once or twice? Also shoutout to I think it was Sergio Martinez vs Cintron where the ref counted to 10 then restarted the fight (been a while wince I've seen but that's what I remember)
Joseph Agbeko vs Abner Mares 1 Absolutely disgusting referring in this one, i lost count how many low blows Mares landed, must of been atleast 60. And Mares didn't get a single point deducted. Agbeko also gets knocked down by a clear low blow. And the ref counts it as a knockdown, even though Russell Mora had a clear view to see it was a low blow aswell. Marcus McDonnell's score for the Hatton v Ruiz fight was crap.Hatton lost that fight. Never thought much of Ruby Goldstein, his handling of the first Ingo v Patterson fight was inept imo.
