Mannix with his odd scorecards & that's only when he gets to speak, feels like he just awards a fighter the next round due to the momentum of the previous round as a follow through.

I still think Larry's " If I was 60 years younger Id kick your ass myself" to Floyd when he was having a hissy fit, was a classic. Shut Floyds motor mouth didn't he lol

Yeah, what's Floyd supposed to do, punch an 80 year old man on TV?
You notice Larry hadn't even finished his sentence before he started turning his back and moving away from Floyd cause he knew he (Larry) was all cap.
As much of a child as Floyd comes off as sometimes, he is clearly the bigger man in almost any Larry Merchant post fight interview

What ????? When Floyd was in tears, moaning " Maidana roughed me up & beat me up But the ref did nothing to stop him it wasn't fair" ROFLMAO!! The supposed TBE crying like a baby with Ellerbe caressing & consoling him complaining that the ref didn't stop Maidana beating the heck out of him ?? ROFL He was used to Joe Cortez protecting him & didn't seem to have the sense to realize it was his, Floyds, job to try & stop him
But Floyd couldn't FIGHT!!! only run & hold. But the Vegas judges STILL gave Floyd the decision as usual
They hired Kenny Bayless for the rematch he stopped Maidana having any chance. Do you remember Floyd's girlish scream " He bit me " One things for certain Floyd was no " bigger man"

Yeah... Floyd "couldn't fight". I don't even know what to say to that, you've already exposed yourself for all to see

He could fight up to 135 pounds then he claimed he hurt his hands & started the Run ,Hold. elbow shiver, repeat style. When a fighter tries to blame the ref for not stopping his opponent beating him up, it shows that man is no fighter any more He just danced his way through 12 rounds & let the Vegas judges cover his butt

I’m sure a 25 year old Larry Merchant would beat one of the greatest boxers of all time.

I call that the "chicken wing". I've watched boxing for a while now, one of my earliest memories was watching Ali defeat Spinks in the rematch and I used to watch live amateurs way back when. I'm not a hardcore fan like some here but I'm definitely more than a casual and this chicken wing thing seems relatively new to me ( like maybe ONLY 10 or 15 years or so ). It really feels like I see it more now than ever but I grew up in an area with very little boxing available on tv so my data pool is small relatively speaking. Can any longtime boxing viewers give examples of other well known fighters using the chicken wing prior to Mayweather? Has it always been part of boxing? Almost feels like a foul when you can lure a boxer to run into it.

The fact Floyd was in tears, after Maidana kicked his butt in Maidana 1, complaining the THE REF did nothing to stop Maidana " Roughing me up & Beating me up " is enough for me to know that Floyd was NEVER one of the greatest boxers of all time. He was a manufactured champion he got used to the Vegas judges & the NSAC protecting him. He just ran, danced, occasional elbow shiver Hold like a limpet & repeat. The judges wont let him lose lol When the chips were down he couldn't cut it

It is a foul with that , his holding, running style doesn't win FIGHTS!! He was a dirty fighter to be honest but got away with it . Look at the cowardly way he cold cocked a completely defenceless Ortiz. If He could punch Floyd could have seriously hurt Ortiz or even worse. Can you imagine if the roles were reversed & Ortiz did that to Floyd do you think Ortiz would get a KO win like Floyd did ???? Never

Watched them all and I've never seen him run. I actually saw him rope a dope his biggest power threats like Canelo, Cotto, and Manny, literally just laying on the ropes and letting them throw shots at him and just covering up and twisting out of the way.

ROFLMAO Floyd ran & danced faster backwards than most could go forwards, but that doesn't score points

Colonel Sheridan really did suck Floyd off though in his telecasts. it was like he'd never seen Floyd fight before.

Foreman was biased for any puncher
