Worst robbery? Leonard-Hearns II or Holyfield-Lewis I?

Neither were good but If I had to pick I'd easily say:

Holyfield Lewis I.

Lennox clearly beat him and he knows it, so does Holyfield, Melvina Lathan and Don King.

 

You thought Holy won the 2nd fight??
He didnt get such a beating as he did first time around but i thought Lewis still won it.

Nelson Fenech definately among the worst

 

I thought Nelson was excellent on the back foot, although as the fight was in Vegas it did seem a little odd, Fenech's aggression was not rewarded more. But hey, Hagler had the same problem with Leonard.

 

Lewis won 7-5 the 2nd time around on my card. I just put the wrong number, I meant the first Lewis-Holyfield fight was a worse robbery than those others.

 

Humans who err on the side of Don King of course. Funny how that happens loads isn't it.

 

Agreed with the majority, Holyfield-Lewis.

At least Leonard put up a fight and made it somewhat close-ish.

Holyfield just laid against the ropes and gave away round after round.

 

I think his mum got in the way of the TV when the 5th round was on as she was tidying up his Scooby Doo videos.

 

Both were bad decisions. I thought Hearns won and Lewis won.

 

I think Lewis was given the decision in the second fight to right the wrong decision in the first fight. It was a close fight, but I think Evander's work through the middle rounds and the heavy shots he landed should have gotten him the decision in the second fight.

Lewis clearly won the first, which I still compare to Norton vs Ali III as the biggest robberies in the sport.

DKP is one of the most powerful organizations in the sport. If you are a judge you would be silly to ignore that, if you want to keep high profile assignments! As said, they are only human, and sometimes the right fighter needs to win, to benefit the sport.

It is the same with most sports, the more powerful the organization, the more the officials respect that. Just look how long Manchester United went without conceding a penalty in the Premiership at Old Trafford a couple of years back.....

 

A robbery is a robbery- end of. Tell me, what benefit was this draw exactly? Does a rematch not get made if Lewis receives the nod or something? :huh

So, that's a good thing is it. How?

 

The benefit of the draw was massive publicity for a rematch. If Lewis had been given the nod, sure the back pages are filled up with the fight, but by scoring it a draw, we had the front pages talking about the fight and the rematch.

More money for Mr Holyfield, Mr Lewis and the promoters, thus a win win situation all round.

 

So why not just rob everyone and make money all the time then? That way everyone is super-rich and boxing makes more front page headlines (and becomes an even bigger joke in reality).

 

LOL, I guess it is, if you are a United supporter.

But I am not so I am pissed with the situation.

Same as that great Scottish wind bag gets a knighthood for one European Cup; which is all wrong, as the standard was set by Bob Paisley (who had to win three to get his knighthood).

But it does prove my point about the bigger your organization the more perks you get.
