Stoppage at 9:10. Nobody was even throwing a punch. Torres was hurt at the end of round 2, but Calzaghe landed maybe three punches in round 3, and both guys were just circling when the ref jumped in for no reason.

 

jeezus that was bad. clearly a mismatch but atleast let the guy finish the fight properly

Floyd - Gatti, I had Gatti up on the cards and saw Floyd clearly slowing down. That stoppage was *****.

 

Bad stoppage, but Manfredo should blame himself. If Calzaghe just slaps, why didn't he punch back once?

Khan vs Barrera pissed me off. Barrera gets a huge gash from an accidental headbutt in the first round. The cut is pissing blood and the ref lets the fight go on. Then midway in the 5th Barrera seems to be getting back into the fight and the cut is no worse than it was in the first, but the ref stops it. Khan wins a technical decision because the fight went past 4 rounds. Everyone acts like he knocked Barrera out.

 

Damn, that would've been my choice - and I was sure I was the only one! Good to hear that someone else thinks that one was way premature.

 

Yes but Manfredo had no chance of neating Calzaghe so who cares. A totally meaningless, pointless fight.

 

Coggi-Gonzalez I had both the Worst Stoppage, and the Worst LACK OF Stoppage (where Coggi literally became a standing puppet on more than 1 occasion). Hometown cooking at it's absolute worst.
