Cardle vs Dodd. Terry O’Connor special. Worst stoppage ever though for me was a none stoppage. Eddie Gutnecht. None stop thudding shots with zero coming back, was obvious for round after round nothing was going to change and the fight should be stopped. Was nothing like Eubank Blackwell, Blackwell was always throwing back and half making it competitive, despite being outgunned. On Froch Groves, I had big money for young skint me, at the time on Groves. Genuinely believed the sharper, counter punching, hard hitting, good jab would be enough to beat the stiff but tough one. Still a source of frustration to me these fights in terms of scorecards and stoppage in the first and small ring in the second. 25 year old promoting/managing himself got stitched up. Didn’t have the best trainer relationship with Fitzpatrick either.
Good post mate. He really didn’t respect Fitzpatrick towards the end. He was always smoking weed which Groves, an athlete, understandably didn’t appreciate.
Morrison vs Mercer and Barroso vs Romero are the two worst I've ever seen for very different reasons.
Looking back Mickey Vann let Bruno take too much punishment against Lennox. Also cannot forget the awful Ian John-Lewis almost getting Shannon Briggs permanently damaged against Vitali for the full 12 rounds. Shocking.
recently..............Rolly Romero was getting beaten up by Borosso. Tony Weeks should never referee another championship fight.
