For me, it would have to be the Carlos DeLeon vs Johnny Nelson WBC Cruiserweight title fight in 1990. If anyone remembers this (and if you do, I feel sorry for you) then you had in Nelson a fighter who wouldn't throw punches and spent all 12 rounds running from DeLeon. DeLeon was past it and didn't have speed of foot/hand/mind to do anything about it. The fight was scored a draw, whilst really DeLeon should have won. I scored his slow shuffling foward better than Nelsons running. "The Entertainer" :tired
It was dreadful, but at least Nelson learnt the lesson and improved against Warring!.... oh wait:tired
Mike Tyson- James Smith......it was hyped as battle of the punchers .... but Smith did not punch in the first 11 rounds .....
The only two in modern times that could compare would be Nelson/Warring and Breland/StarlingII. All-time; Jackson/Corbett was meant to of been grim, I guess we do have a small blessing with fights only going 12 now a days.
