There simply can't be a fight worse than De Leon and Nelson. I remember Jim Watt co-commentating saying 'I hope we aren't covering the rematch'.

Johnny Nelson's effort was terrible, but just to refresh yourself, check out the scoring for the bout. He can't have been solely to blame.

He was at it again versus Guillermo Jones when fkked at the scales.

However, I've nodded off during many Bernard Hopkins fights.

Steve Roberts entire career, except when Ron Weaver dropped him.

Hopkins v Taylor II was a rather poor fight.

Hopkins should have picked up where he left off at the end of the first fight. During the late rounds he proved he had the power to trouble Taylor, so for him not to do some serious chin testing early when they rematched was a letdown. I suppose thats Hopkins though, as he never puts the pedal to the metal too early.

Williams v Harrison. Now, thats what you call rubbish. Not a world title fight, but still worth a mention since we are on the topic of "worst fights".

From memory, DeLeon - Nelson had more rounds than punches.

Well yeah, pro fights tend to be scheduled for more than 2 rounds;)

Apparently thats all part of Hopkins being a strategic master. I think his ability to adapt and change tactics is overrated. Its one thing to be trying a strategy and then changing it in the later rounds, its another to do nothing then start to throw punches. Hardly adapting

Yeah, sure bring up Ali again even though you know and I know this has nothing to do with Ali.

It was a terrible fight, period. Many people agree with me. Here's an excerpt from Beyond Glory:

Louis should have stayed awake instead of being a smartarse and then he might not have been sat on his backside by a fighter of Braddocks limited capabilities.
