The better version of Tyson.

What version was the poorer version of Tyson? He was undoubtably underprepared going in against Douglas and he was declined when he fought Holyfield?
Which version of these two was the better?

He was worse against Holyfield I would presume.
4 years in the can and 30 years of age would take something off him.

Would say Holyfield version was worse. Inactivity, age all take there toll. The Tokyo loss was probably more just down to under trained and over confidence. And that also played its part in the real deal fight.

We'll never know. I think people overplay how shot he was before Holyfield and Lewis. This is a guy who had only lost one fight prior to Holyfield, in fact he beat Bruno far more convincingly after prison than before prison when he was supposedly in his prime.

I think people are kinda married to the legend that is Mike Tyson, they want to believe that man was better than any fighter they ever saw, but maybe, just maybe, he lost to two better guys in Lewis and Holyfield.

Certainly when Ali was out the game for 3 1/2 years the difference in speed was so much more noticeable to the naked eye than it was with Tyson.
