You just made yourself look really bad, dude.

We are talking about the worst ever. I can name five-ten current titlists without really thinking easily worse than Baldomir...

There are much worse I know, but David Diaz is another that strikes me as utterly undeserving and an overall shitty "world class" fighter.

Keb Baas recently stood out as awful, but it must certainly be someone who fought for a vacant title, won it, then immediately coughed it up to poor competition, never amounting to anything in his career.

I'll have to go with Cory Spinks.
Jermain Taylor was also pretty bad when he won his title. His defenses were horrible.

Big John Tate, won the title and was kayoed by Mike Weaver five months later in the very first round.

Ruiz was nowhere near the worst world champion. He was actually pretty decent, just not good to watch.

Yep, and how many of those fights were in Germany? If anyone actually believes that this guy retired undefeated then.....

    On paper, yes!

He should have had one clear defeat and potentially three or four others that could have gone either way, but you're still talking about a guy who was quite a competent world champion - he was never out classed in the ring, never got knocked out despite his less than impressive power and managed to hang in there with some pretty talented boxers of his era in such a way that a decision could be made.

John Ruiz. He's the worst because not only did he have no boxing ability to speak of, he cheated to "win" fights he wouldn't have come close to winning within the rules. And even then, he needed the help of King's refs and judges. A total fraud and disgrace, that's what he was.

WTF, there are 600 'World Champs' these days. Meaningless. Back in the day, I'll say Primo Carnera, who was a set up.
