is 08 the worst year for British Boxing? khan: KO'd Hatton: almost KO'd by a lightweight and might be outboxed by paulie (although unlikely). calzaghe: A good chance Roy will roll back the years Haye: violent KO waiting to happen when he gets in there with those big boys witter: same old woods: retirement
That is some pretty negative **** right there. Hatton wasn't impressive, but he won. He hasn't lost to Malignaggi yet - let's give him a chance... Calzaghe...likewise. He won his fight, and Roy Jones chance of returning to his peak miraculously is about the same as Khan taking a Tyson left-hook and remaining upright Haye hasn't lost yet
Khan was waiting happen and Witter and Woods were both getting on a bit. Lets wait for one of the "Big 3" to actually lose this year before we call it a "bad year", eh?
2009 could be even worse for British Boxing: Frank Warren is elected President of the UK David Haye retires from boxing to manage Millwall FC Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe come out as gay lovers and run off to Bali together. Alien Invaders nuke York Hall from orbit
2 have already happened losing to fighters they were expected to beat (khan, witter) woods was schooled although i didn't expect him to win and ricky was one check hook away from being KO'd before the ref safed him against a shot lightweight. i promise you haye will be KTFO so calzaghe is the only hope. :-(
Lazcano didn't hit Hatton with check hook all night. Stick to terms you actually know the meaning of....
A check hook doesn't even exist. People just made that **** up to make Mayweather sound better, and possibly even Hatton less worse.
atsch i didn't say he did, i said he was one away from being KO'd because he got hit with a corkscrewing left hook in the 8th and the ref stepped in when ricky was clearly hurt, not when he told him to do his laces
atsch no, check hook is what mayweather called it not what people made up and its basically a short left hook bringing the opponent on to the shot.
Yeah, who was that ****? Wasn't "Uncle" Dave Parris was it. Sure it wasn't Vann either, or was it? It never ceases to amaze me the treatment Richard gets from British refs. If I was at the British Board of Control I would be employing a fraud team, much like those that raided Harry Redknapp's house. I would check for their bank statements and any Swiss bank accounts for payments from Team Hatton.
