Would 154 be an acceptable weight for Martinez - Mayweather?

A jump up to 160 would be a LOT to ask of Floyd, and a drain of 150 would be a too much to ask of Martinez

Would you be happy with this happening at 154?

Sergio said he would do the fight at 150. Sergio also claims he's really a JMW. So 154 would be more than fair.

If Martinez beats Chavez, Floyd can pull a De La Hoya-Hopkins (156) and take it at 155 for the 160 title.:nut

That would be the ideal weight for the fight.

Im not too sure. 150 is ridiculous 154 is ok I guess considering floyds only just moved up. 157 I feel is ideal however the catchweight issues wouldn't be worth it. 160 is about as unfair as 150 for Sergio. 154 is probably the best weight

Sergio said he is willing to move down to 150 to fight either Pac or PBF which is plain dumb and anyone who believes he can perform as such a low weight. Lets stop knocking PBF about the weight. Some moron posted a thread that the Cotto fight was at 150 and all hell broke loose. If PBF decides to fight Martinez, it would certainly be at 154. People just love drama here. Why would PBF move to 160 when he fights for money not titles.

154 sounds good to me. Especially since its Martinez issuing the challenge.

True, plus add in the x factor that no one is really thinking about:

When/If Martinez fights Chavez, what decision will he make in terms of weight for that fight.

Will he come in fight night in the low 160's to prepare for his next bout with Mayweather @ 154 and give up 20 or more pounds to Chavez?

Or will he come in @ 170+ to mitigate the weight advantage Chavez holds over him, and end up draining himself potentially too quickly to make the weight for the Mayweather bout?

Martinez is looking for a check, at his age him moving down in weight will seriously throw him off his game, Sergio didn't move up because he thought the middleweight division was easier to conquer, he moved up because making weight was to much of a chore. Same goes for Floyd moving up to 154.
