It would be if he wants a shot at floyd will have to go to whatever division floyd wants and 154 is an ok weight. Though martinez would like it at 160, floyd wont go to 160 and make martinez his first fight.

154 and no lower imo or the fights a sham. i know sergio would probably be willing to drain himself to 150 though ....

To be considered great, you have to do great things. Other fighters Floyd's size have fought at 160, to negative results or not. If he lost, people would expect it and respect him for taking the challenge. If he won.....:good

Martinez said he would come down to 154 to fight Void. Void is fighting Cotto at 154, so why now Martinez? Fact is, Void will never fight Martinez, he's too busy running from Pac!!!

  5. Why wouldn't Mayweather try to pull off a Sugar Ray Leonard and make the weight limit 154, and the fight is for his 154 title AND Martinez' 160 title(s).

It depends on what Martinez deems as acceptable , i mean if he says he can " comfortably make the weight (154) " , then why should it be deemed un acceptable

Now ................... if Martinez cannot make 154 , which would be perfectly understandable considering he is (In most people's eyes) the undisputed MW champion of the world , then either a) they fight @157.5 , or b) 160 and Floyd fights as a MW

Which would be a big jump for Floyd , i mean does he even weigh 160 when he's not in the gym ??? , therefore the 2 men are caught between weights , but if Floyd wants to fight Martinez (more like Sergio wants to fight Floyd) he should accept he's fighting a MW and fight him @160 or 157.5 , to request Martinez to weigh 154 (unless he's willing) would seem i little bit silly , kind of like telling Oscar he cannot weight above 147 on the night , well not as bad :D

I would like it to happen at 160 for the undisputed middleweight title. Though a catchweight would be understandable, but hopefully nothing ridiculous like 155.

154 with no redydration clause should be fair to both.

no not at all only reason to fight sergio is for a belt so 155 with a hydration clause. Yep Floyd needs to take a page out of Manny's book and fight at a catch weight . Thing is I dont think Segio is going to get his belt back

Gabriel has the WBC title so Floyd should go to 160 for the fight.

My opinion as well. If it's for the MW title, then it should be at the MW limit.
