Just read earlier that Katsidis's manager said Mick Hennesy told him if he fights Murray, 20,000 Brit fans would turn out to watch Murray fight Katsidis? Would that really happen? I think Mitchell had a crowd of about 12,000.

Not a chance. Froch v Dirrell struggled to shift 10k.

Hennesey's only promotion technique would be making Murray have a column in the Manchester evening news on a saturday.

this time last year you wouldnt have thought 20,000 would turn up to see kev mitchell. that said mick hennessy doesnt have anywhere near the promotional skills and budget and contacts warren has but its not impossible maybe if he fought and beat mitchell.

Nope. Mitchell couldn't pull over 15,000 to his fight (AND THEY WEREN'T EVEN BOXING FANS - )

This fight will never happen. Katsidis camp hasn't recieved a sum of what they'd get and when they find out they'll put that phone down and ring Khan straight up :D

20,000 would turn up to watch Audley Harrison vs David Haye though.

Katsidis is more of a draw than Murray

If he was managed by Frank Warren he probably would. WTF did Mitchell do...he went on the pitch at West Ham and all that bollocks. It was hardly a long term campaign to increase his publicity. It just takes the common sense to go out and promote a fight correctly which Hennessy is not very good at.

I don't see why Murray wouldn't have the potential to shift as many tickets as Mitchell.

Henney has a quality name but that's where it stops. He is poor at promotion and messed up big time with Froch's big fights!

Maybe if Murray was to beat a few decent names, it could be possible. The way things stand at the moment he'd have NO chance of doing this.

Another factor would be the undercard I suppose
