The thread regarding Tyson v spinks got me wondering about a 88 Tyson verses the vit Klitschko of the Lewis fight. That was a overweight, tired Lewis in the ring and he destroyed Klitschko s face. Surely a destroyer like Tyson does at least the same, if not worse.? My money s on Tyson wins.. Ref stops contest round 4. Just an opinion.
If Tyson catches Vitali with the laces on his gloves then maybe so, Vitali's knees would be a right mess.........
As explosive and skilled and dangerous as '88 Tyson was I like Vitali's chances against him by landing enough to stifle Mike's output to earn a decision or even wear him down and stop him late. I don't see Tyson landing as frequently as Lewis was able to, causing the facial injuries, principally because of the size disparity. That said, prime Tyson is a h2h beast with a unique skill set and rare physical ability. I am hesitant to write him off vs anyone h2h.
LOL your a case Wass. Anyway I'm sure vits face would soon be on Tyson s level, when he's a staggering, bloody pulp.
Yes because Vitali was massively prone to cuts, Vitali would just Tyson up. I don't know what would break first though, his mind or his body?
Vits body would look as inviting to Tyson as a hot chick on a summer s night. Ooo the sound effects as Tyson brutally works away! This won't be no little Chris bryd tapping away, this is a dang machine!
Tyson would be hit that often and from so many angles he'd think he was surrounded....... That machine couldn't even do any effective work against Smith, he would be completely overmatched by the bigger and stronger Vitali.
He wasn't very effective against Smith, very true, but Smith was hugging Tyson like a woman all night. No wonder Tyson blew him a kiss! Vit could do the same.. And end up losing a wide unanimous decision for his troubles. Or he could attempt to fight.. And lose painfully but like a man
Vitali is a rather crappy matchup for Tyson. Lewis managed to have success largely as a factor of his size and Vits mixing it up with him. But Vitali liked to play distance games and the much smaller Tyson would have difficulty in landing clean on him. And even if he did ... could he really damage him? While I don't write prime Tyson off against anybody, he'd be working uphill against Vitali.
I think '88 Tyson is just too fast for Vitali. Vitali wouldn't necessarily cut and was very resilent. Tyson by decision.
Because Vitali was known for his high workrate!lol He couldn't even put Chisora away! Smith just fought survive and how many rounds did he win? Judge: Lou Tabat 120-106 Judge: Dalby Shirley 119-107 Judge: Jose Juan Guerra 119-107
"The best action in the first round came midway through the round on a three-punch combination by Tyson. However, with Smith tying Tyson up instead of punching, the expected first-round fireworks never arrived. There were some sparks, though, at the closing bell as Smith starred at Tyson, drawing a Tyson left well after the bell. Tyson's opened a cut above Smith's left eye at the start of Round 2 with a head butt. The trouble continued for Smith one minute later when Lane penalized Smith one point for continual holding. The lack of action drew boos at the close of the round. And once again the two taunted each after the bell had sounded. Again in Round 3 there was more holding from Smith and more frustration from Tyson, who was unable to land a combination. And yes, more taunting after the bell. Smith began retreating in Round 4, with a Tyson right to the head the only punch of consequence. After the search for pillows began during Rounds 5 and 6, the crowd finally had a chance to cheer in Round 7 when Tyson went down. On a slip. In Round 8, Lane took away a second point from Smith for holding. . . . Tyson continued to look for the big shot -- something Smith wasn't willing to offer. . . . The booing continued. As did the boredom. Smith landed one solid blow, in the final round, but he had little left to follow up with. The misery ended with the bell after Round 12. It could have been worse. It could have been scheduled for 15."
Hahahaha bringing up the Chisora fight when Vitali was a pensioner. At a younger age Tyson was getting stopped by the legendary lard arse Kevin McBride and KTFO by Danny Williams for fcuks sake. Vitali had a great engine and work rate, have you ever seen him fight?
