Would a 2002 Wlad vs. 2002 Lennox lewis fight come down to who landed the 1st bomb?

wlad only got stopped by punches once. look at the clay bey fight for example, he took some wicked shots there. peter landed a huge left hook right on the jaw at the end of the third round, wlad took it and ducked the next shot.
wlad's chin is ~average, it's not like he got knocked down by chris byrd.

 

I think the Klitschko 2009 vs. Lennox 2002 would be a hell of a fight.

If they wouldve fought in 2002 i think Lennox experience and Klitschkos inmature would give Lennox a TKO victory.
Both guys cghins are good enough to be a dominant HW Champion. People who think they have glass chins are painful idiots, unfortunately like more and more at this board.

 

You're right. Wlad has only been punched in 3 fights throughout his entire career. He is clearly the best defensive wizard in history.

 

I think Lewis would be far more aggressive than usual knowing Wladimir's fallability.

 

Don't know why most people judge Lewis as a fighter who can't take a punch. The punch that dropped him against McCall was a punch he didn't see coming and still he got up from it despite being hurt. Against Rahman that shot would have KO'd ANYONE and he took the SAME shot TWICE in the round, the first time he was dazed/stunned from it and the second time he was KO'd. Apart from those two in a career where he had over 40 fights he has never been down. Wladimir's case is quite similar but probably worse since he has been dropped way more and stopped three times.

Still I would say that both have pretty good chins and took punches when they needed to, of course I would say that Lewis easily wins it in this one if you compare him to Wladimir since Lewis has fought far more dangerous fighters in his career and proved it by taking punches from them.

 

Lewis always fights smart, whether he knows his opponent has a bad chin or not.
