If Cotto were to beat Pacquiao I think he would get rated in the top 5 along the lines of number 3 or and Floyd would get the #1 slot. Does anyone else see it the same way?

So Kirk do you think it's the right thing overall?

People forget that PBF was #1 and gave his spot up when he retired. Well, he's back and just dominated with ease the man Pac had major trouble with both times he fought. He's obviously once again the best fighter on the planet. While Pac has been much more active the past couple of years due to PBF's lay off, he's not the best on the planet anymore. And, if he loses to Cotto it's a no brainer -- Pac, without any question, shouldn't continue to be ranked #1.

    Yes.

GBP owning the Ring has a lot to do with Mosley being ranked above him. GBP would make a lot of money from a SSM/PBF fight and knows they wouldn't make anything if they are left out of the cut and Floyd fights Pac.

Cotto took some rounds off in their fight and still beat him clearly. He was also a round away from beating a more-than-likely cheating Margo before the damage caught up to him. Mosley leap-frogged Cotto on p4p lists by beating a Margarito who did not have his head in the fight; there's no way him being caught cheating right before the fight was not looming heavily in his mind during that fight.

For me, yes, but I've heard some say Cotto should be #1.

If Pac loses and then Paul Williams beats Kelly Pavlik, Williams would be #1 on my list regardless. I also think Williams would beat Mayweather H2H, simply because his reach is actually long enough to hit Mayweather when he pulls the shoulder roll move, and he throws enough to counter Mayweather's accuracy.

I know some folks don't have Williams in their top 10 (and I'm not sure why), but I have him at #4.

He already is and we all no it his just been away from the sport for a few years but going on saturday's showing his the same fighter he was in the Hatton fight before he RETIRED which was the best without any dout

Pac is a great fighter and deserved to be ranked P4P#1 after what he did to De la Hoya and more so Hatton but after what i saw saturday Mayweather is bck #1 P4P

He will be number 2 pac is going up to meet cotto in a weight class that cotto is already number 3 so it wont make that difference and if pac wins cotto which i am pretty sure he will be number 3 in the welterweight lineups he wont be above mayweather and mosley.
