That was also said about RJJ when he was reigning #1 P4P and despite losing 5 years ago and being past it since 5 years the support for him is still great.

    That's because you're homosexual.

This is a boxing fan site, expect different members to be fans of different fighters and back them up/participate in threads involving them.

There has to be a winner and a loser in every fight - barring a draw.

If someone loses, they either come back, or someone else replaces them.

PBF is not irreplaceable - the great fights we got to see in his absence due to 'retirement' are proof of that.

I personally think his presence ****s things up because he stands in the way of so many good fights happening because people want to fight him for the price tag.

A certain ignored cockroach must be desperately seeking attention as usual. Don't worry, cashier, I will eventually be bored enough to remove you from the list for a few laughs here and there in the near future. I hope you're not complaining about being banned 5 years ago again, told you before and will repeat, I don't even know who the **** you are.

I just can't see why PBF's loss could be good for boxing.

Yes because more young fighters will trie to imitate him as long he is victorious, he needs to get KO, that will destroy the dreams of those future runners.

Besides making me happy, Floyd losing would have no long term impact on the sport. When he was 'retired' was he really missed? It's not like Floyd provided dramatic, heart stopping drama through his career. While Floyd was on the shelf there were a lot of hot fights, dramatic kayos, come from behind wins, and intense slugfests. Can't say I missed any of the Mayweather disfunctional family news, or the snotty, ignorant attitude, or the smacking around of some undersized , overmatched opponent. If Floyd wins , loses, cries, hits his girlfriend , or clashes with his Dad has very little impact on the sport, for the most part.

Maybe my question wasn't specific enough. When I mean "good" for boxing I don't mean bringing in the casual fan. I mean GREAT MATCH-ups in the long run. I believe that a PBF-PAC Fight will be done regardless of outcomes. I think people still want to see them fight, even if they both lose. I just think that Floyd at Welter fighting some of the welters woud really make for some interesting drama. Pac losing at Welter doesn't matter bc he WON"T STAY AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO DEFEND ANYTHING! He's only fighitng Cotto to get a 7th title in another division. Whereas Floyd would feel like maybe he needed to redeem himself and would fight some stiff opp. That All. I'm not hating I just enjoy great boxing match-ups.

As it is, boxing is too dominated by Latinos and boxing's appeal to none-Latinos may suffer yt another defeat if he loses.

The Latinos will keep watching no matter what happens because they don't have any other sport they are really good at. But in terms of attracting the fans, another Latino in the mix if far far from what is needed.
