Wrong.. In LatinAmerica nobody really likes boxing, they just play soccer and they are good at it, The few boxing fans are from Mexico where soccer is the main sport too.

    It depends:

Winning a "catch me if you can" plan can be as ugly as losing a fight..

Losing a "Leonidas vs Xerxes" way can be as great as as winning itself

Good for boxing? will definitely depends on how the game went through..

Is a Tiger Woods loss in a major good for golf? Yes but a Tiger Woods win in a major is also good for golf.

Considering how many people watch him in hopes of finally seeing him lose, no would not be good. This is pretty obvious.

He's not going to lose though. lol

Neither good nor bad. There's more to boxing than Floyd Mayweather Jr. He is not the face of boxing. He's one of many good boxers. He'll be gone one day, but boxing will go on regardless if he ever existed or not.

I hate this type of **** talk......

"Would fighter A winning be good for boxing?"

" Would fighter B losing be good for boxing?"
    :patsch

It really gets annoying to hear this garbage, as well as people already looking past JMM and looking foward to a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.

.....all this is precisely whats wrong with boxing.

Eg......When DLH got his hand raised after his fight with Felix Sturn so that he could then fight Bernard Hopkins, this type of crap is exactly whats wrong with the sport.

The only thing that would do the sport good is to have the fighter who deserved to have his hand raised, actually have it raised.

picking a lightweight instead of welter while overpricing himself is already bad for boxing..

him winning against the **** warrior will not do any good for the sport, what's good for the sport is for him to fight his toughest competitions at welterweight, if not, i suggest he retires from it..

yeah i see what you mean it would be 1 of 2 things the Naseem Hamed route or a re-ignited desire to box and beat the best out there and not just being money minded

in all honesty as much of a ****ing ******* floyd may or may not be. a loss for him would make all his comments about the ufc/mma, seem less potent. and if he were to lose there would be loads of ****ing gimps like joe 'holier than thou' rogan, redeclaring mma as being better than boxing. and i for one can do without that. i quite like the kicking element of mma but the grappling bores the **** out of me. and there is no way that it is even half as entertaining as a good boxing match.

also as has been previously stated, floyd is the antihero of boxing and his persona gets people interested and tuned in. and the more publicity and public showing of the sport the better.
