Would a Prime Cotto have beaten Mayweather?

    yeah, why did cotto say no approach was ever made to floyd then? Stupid thread, **** off!

    Maybe a prime Cotto vs a 36 year old Mayweather will be a close fight. A prime, better yet a normal Floyd with his normal movemets will always beat Cotto. People say he can't fight in the pocket so he stood there and fought Cotto.. Then they say he lost his legs so he boxes circles around Guerrero.. So of course they said he was 'running' so he switched between the two vs Alvarez.. Now their making excuses for Alvarez that he didn't make himself.. It's great to prove people wrong every fight...

    Funnily enough this has probably flipped post his retirement and he's now probably underrated historically.

    Cotto was a clear level below Floyd, it would take certain circumstances for Cotto to win. B fighters can beat A fighters if they're not prepared, are too old or out of their weight class.
