Either way he would of bust Kelly up, but he deffo would of beaten him.

Echols,Glen Johnson are as tough as Pavlik, and Echols probably hits harder than Pavlik.

I think a prime Michael Nunn might of taken care of Pavlik too.

He would have probably gone for the stoppage and got it when he was younger against Pavlick.I think he would have beaten Calzaghe by a couple of rounds but not stopped him.

Anybody who thinks Hopkins wouldnt KO Pavlik I suggest you go on Ebay and purchase BHOP's Fight Career. He would knock Pavlik TFO!

He would beat Pavlik 100 times out of 100 at any weight class. He barely had a scratch on him and dominated the fight. One of the best performances I've seen in boxing.

No, if it was prime b-hop,,,pavlik would not have underestimated him and i think his preparation and training camp would have been different...he still would have lost tho

    Nah.

Hopkins was as big and powerful as he ever was at LHW. He fills out that weight very well and looked stronger than Pavlik. His punching power was better than at middleweight. Also, Hopkins did throw many punches in that fight, because Pavlik didn't give him a reason not to. He didn't run out of gas as against Calzaghe.

Oscar and Trinidad who were welterweights lasted into the latter stages, I don't see the middleweight version stopping a middleweight Pavlik.

I read correctly, you don't need to worry about that. The thread title reads "prime" Hopkins. Perhaps what you consider his prime is not the same as I.

And just because I like Kessler he should come into a thread which has nothing to do with him? Grow up, that **** is pathetic and desperate.

Who cares? What the 2008 version of Hopkins did to Pavlik was worse than any KO.

Stop please stop you don't know what your saying !!! Hopkins started his career at 175 not 160, which is why he focused on staying in shape so that he could better maintain the weight at 160 , because he was a natural 175 pounder . So he never had to bulk up. anyone following hopkins career knew he was a big middle and very strong at that.
