    So you're saying Hopkins was severely drained almost his entire career

    NO,,, Hopkins was a gym rat and made sure he was never more then 5 to 10 pound past his fighting weight .. Hopkins followed the old school rule of " stay ready , so you never have to get ready" .. In any case at 6'1, Hopkins was hardly the undersized middle weight these guys are trying to make him out to be..

    then WTF do you mean when you say he's a natural light heavyweight? A guy fighting 2 divisions below his natural weight is not drained?

    Hopkins weighed in at 156 against Tito. Are you telling me a nutural lightheavyweight who weighs in at 156 is not drained

    i consider whatever weight a fighter can make and be at his best to be his natural weightclass.

    Hopkins started his career at 175, he is a natural but because of he work ethics he was able to get down to 160 and maintain the weight.

    let get one thing straight 168 is devision for under sized light Heavy and overweight middles I really don't see it as a weight class ..
    in the late 70 early 80s this weight class did not exist, and fighter moved up and down from middle to light heavy during that time.

    If he wanted the fight with Tirindad that was weight he had to make, him coming down to 154 was Don Kings doing , he did not want Hopkins to win that fight. but anyone following both fighters careers, knew that Hopkins would have a big advantage in size and strength.

    really what weight class his first pro fight at ?! and fight after that he weighed in at 168 165 as he moved up to better competition did he start maintaining hie weight better ..

    which is why he had no problem competing at 175 at the age of 40 and 41..

    dude stop being dumb and wasting my time .. the man started out at 175 and settled at 160,, he made those lighter weights in order to get big money fights with oscar and Tito . Both tito and oscar would have gotten it a lot worse if not for the contracted weight .

    kelly has a great chin and great recuperative powers, and I think the fact that he kept moving forward even if he wasn't throwing punches helps him

    I would love to discuss the merits of Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jnr compared against Joe Calzaghe with you, as this seems to be your favourite topic, but i am unable too, for fear of getting banned, remember when i replied to a post of yours where you claimed Joe fought tomatoe cans for his first 22 fights and i checked out Bernards first 22 fight record and the win/loss ratio of Bernards opponents was worse than Joe's, well that post along with Bernard and Roy both turning fights down against Joe in 2001 and 2002 posts have all disappeared.
    I would love to respond to this thread, but i got banned last night {for nothing, absolutely no idea what i did wrong ?} so i am walking on egg shells on this site at the moment, if i say anything about any American boxers i fear i could be banned again, portraying this sites home boxers in a bad light is the only reason I can think of that caused the ban, I only made out that perhaps some current American boxers have question marks about their greatness and I get banned :roll:, no swearing no rudeness, no links to other sites, nothing and i got banned :-(}

    So if you ask the forum what are the relative merits of Hopkins,Jones and Calzaghe, you will get a favourable responce for Hopkins and Jones because anybody that puts down American boxers will have been banned :-(

    PS when i was banned last night, i googled banned by ESB, and somebody claimed they were banned for praising Russian boxers, i kid you not.:shock:

    Dont openly support a Ruskie or a Welshman on this site otherwise you could get into trouble.
