a natural light heavyweight does not consistently make 156/157 for large portions of his middleweight career. Its not just the oscar and tito fights, the john david jackson fight for example hopkins weighed 155/156. He only visibly struggled making weight for the eastman and taylor fights when he was 40+.

what makes you assesment flawed is that you talking about size only and not punch output. while hopkins was never a volume puncher, he threw much more in his younger days, for instance watch his fight with glen johnson. the main reason hopkins moved up was because at his age, mainting the mw limit was taking a toll on him, thats why he looked so in active against taylor. a younger hopkins would have inflicted more damage on pavlik and calzaghe. could he havge koed him, maybe, maybe not, too many possiblities are invovled in determining that but he would have looked better against both men had he been in his prime especially calzaghe.

Everyone that has been on ESB for a while knows that this essentially is an American site and liking other fighters is heavily discouraged.

It is a bit like a North Korean site where liking the US is discouraged. Americans dislike if other countries use these methods yet many Americans more or less openly discriminate against people from other countries.

I guess it is the "gods own country" attitude showing....
