Would a prime James Toney have stopped Spence within 6 rounds?

If Spence had been born the same year as Toney would James have stopped Errol within 6 rounds if they met for the 160 title? A lot of people have stated that Spence can move up to 160 cause he`s such a big middle, yet I just saw a thread stating that Toney feels that Bud can stop Spence within 6 rounds.

Maybe not 6 rounds. But, Toney would batter Spence from pillar to post.

This is a terrible match up for Spence. He gets punched hard, he gets hurt and he gets destroyed.

It's such a mismatch that the thread is totally unnecessary

    That's a highly plausible assertion.

Spence is a career welter who is now falling out of prime and can barely make weight at 32 years old.

Spence isn't beating a middleweight of Toney's calibre.

You won't beat a Burger King like Toney or a Gypsy King like Fury

Given that Spence has never been above 147 a mythical match up at 160 (against a better fighter p4p) seems ridiculous

Who is also skilled and versatile and tough as nails so it will be a highly competitive matchup.

He won't have physical advantages once he moves up to 154 though. I agree with what @Olu G. Rotimi said.

    What a weird thread….

Errol Spence a career 147 that we’ve never seen once at 160 and therefore have zero clue how he’d perform at that weight against one of the greatest MW’s of the last 25-30 years……

Tough enough to take shots off a middleweight? Spence was badly hurt by Ugas.

Spence is a huge welter and has the same reach as Toney, and he`s only an inch shorter.
