Would a prime Mike Tyson be as dominate as he was if he had boxed in the 1970`s?

Legend? I'll take it!! How you doing brother? You know, Unforgiven represents the Tyson Hater Blocc but he'll never admit it. He'll goad and set traps but once you catch on he'll start deflecting and point the finger.

Andrew Golota was an excellent amateur boxer, an Olympic Bronze Medalist, was bigger than Lyle, had a longer reach and was an excellent boxer/puncher who arguably outboxed Chris Byrd, did outbox Witherspoon and totally outboxed Riddick Bowe (when he wasn't punching him in the nards).

Ron Lyle turned pro late and, frankly, I was never all that impressed him.

Would've looked like Golota-Witherspoon in my mind. Golota had all the tools. He was just lacking something upstairs.

We don't use that "if so and so can do it then so and so can do it too" statement around here. It's rather looked down upon and honestly the General Forum rarely uses it these days.

Nobody's jabbing Tyson's head off. Tyson's style is based upon dodging, ducking, dipping, diving and dodging thy good ol' jab. The jab is the least of his worries, unless we're talking about the covid vaxxine. THAT jab will literally kill people. And if you bring up the Douglas fight as an example that means you're using a shoddily trained Tyson who hadn't performed up to his potential for almost 2 years.

Tyson is just as fast as Ali. He also fought a spat of Ali imitators in his entire boxing existence, ams to pros.

Nothing wrong with being big on Iron Mike, he was sensational.

And he was perfect for prime Foreman. Mike would have been bullied, shoved into monster punches, and knocked out in 3 at the very outside, more likely 2. That's not saying he might have landed some big punches, that's more than possible. He just didn't have the right style to fight George. He came in fast, he threw right hands that left him wide open. It would be an obliteration.

But that's just my opinion, all respect to those who differ.

I think Tyson loses to Foreman for sure , I can see tyson beating ali and I can see it 50 50 frazier . I do not think Tyson dominates in the era of heavies when it was Sam LangfordJeannette, Wills ,Mcvey either !

I agree with most everything you say.
Except the off topis & insane idea that the Covid vaccine kills people.
There is endless evidence internationally & here in America that those vaccinated seldom get Covid-& when they do, it is rarely serious.
But hospitalizations & deaths are almost entirely from the vaccinated.
Places with less folks so innoculated have higher rates of transmission & serious illnesses.

When the elderly first became the ones overwhelmingly vaccinated their death rate dropped dramatically.
Do not believe the paranoid conspiracy theories-from any extreme side of the political spectrum.
14 diseases were eradicated with vaccines.
The bizarre idea that autism came from vaccines was debunked in the '80's.
They got the chain of causation wrong; that it occurs at a very young age thus shots cause it is as senseless as, say, believing leaving diapers does.

Foreman was very slow, Tyson has a good chance of KOing him.

Tyson would be a certified Top 5 fighter & would be very dominat, but not invincible like he was in the 80s. I would confidently pick him over guys like Shavers, Quarry, Lyle, Norton, Bugner... I would be fairly confident that he beats even peak Frazier.

Imo even Ali, I'd (slightly) favour Tyson, because Ali's legs were gone, his reflexes were dulled & he got hit a lot at in this period. That's spells disaster against someone like Tyson - but Ali was special & would find a way to either win or make things difficult for Tyson even if he loses (potentially by KO/TKO).

Foreman would for sure be his toughest test out of the 3 legends of the 70s, but it could also be the easiest. Foreman, for as big & strong as he was with awesome punching-power, he was the most limited of the 3, with (at times underrated), but leaky defense. He could get tagged a lot here. I've never seen this as a blowout for Foreman like so many on here assume because of Frazier, when in - reality Tyson & Frazier fought nothing alike. Tyson is bigger, stronger, faster, more explosive, a harder puncher, better defensively & offensively, has a better chin & is more skilled. He's just as much a threat to Big George as Foreman is for him. 50/50 fight. So imo, Tyson isn't an underdog to anyone in the 70s over than Foreman (who himself could be the underdog to Tyson depending on the situation).

the reason why the dummies say he fought like joe is cause they dont watch just repeat other dummies which dont watch they say it cause they go off of the title of swammer even though Marciano and Dempsey was both that but neither one fought the same

it's the same as football or basketball people can have the same position but they play different why dont people watch it's weird stop repeating dumb quotes people and watch
