Would a prime Pavlik go through GGG's opposition in a similar matter?

yes, pavlik when prime was pretty good at MW and would have walked through 3gs opposition in a similar manner - but perhaps not at higher weights, as shown from his catchweight loss at 170lbs to old Hopkins. Whereas with 3G we as yet don't know how he would be if he moved up.

Then Taylor was a complete and utter bum, Maravilla was just slightly above bum status and B-Hop not being able to stop him while dragging him up 10lbs makes him terribily overrated.

Sometimes "fans" here make me sad :-(

Pavlik would have probably beaten all of them, but certainly not all as conclusive.

    Every one of them.

He'd probably blow through GGG as well .

Its been a while since I've seen it, but it was not even competitive, and this is a pre Chavez war and pre Lemieux match (which was harder on Rubio than Lemieux despite the ending), on an undrained Rubio who wanted to win, but Pavlik dominated him.

Rubio showed up for a paycheck against GGG, it is what it is.

    Kelly was a ****ing monster.

    Similar matter: NO
Could he win those fighters in a given night? He would have a good chance
Could he defend his title as many times: NO
Could he make a similar winning streak? NO

I depends, which Pavlik we are talking about? If we are talking Pavlik who became champion, he would probably win and loose. He would have problems with Stevens (Power, Speed), Lemieux (Power, Speed) and even Proksa (Mobility).

The thing is, he was cutting weight a lot (size advantage played big part of his short success) and because of that, he didn´t fight that many fights at 160. His best performance was his first win against Taylor where he struggled hard. If Taylor can floor him, so can Stevens and Lemieux. Also, Pavlik made it a slug fest every time he could and therefore he was taking punishment way too much to defend his title 15 times.

kelly was a very good fighter but compared to GGG he was not that good

I disagree i just think its just the gulf of difference between GGG and pavlic

the same thing happened when Groves fought murray and went to the brink with him GGG fought murray without trying.

When GGG KO's a prime Jermain Taylor 5 rounds quicker and a few years before Carl Froch and Arthur Abraham, and bludgeon a prime Edison Miranda into submission, then maybe I'll buy into that argument. Pavlik was levels above anyone GGG has faced to date, and his skill level is a lot better than most give him credit for. The only thing that gave Pavlik trouble was movement and speed, and I can almost guarantee GGG wouldn't try to walk The Ghost down, it would be all jab, it wouldn't be worth the risk of engaging with Kelly.

CST we had this back and fourth on this subject some time ago we will just go round in circles

Yes GGG might not have faced anyone on Pavs level but the same goes for Pav wouldn't you agree?

GGG would of stopped Pavlic late on he is to strong for him his jab alone would of caused issues and Pavlic was easily out boxed

Say i even agree with you and say GGG wouldnt of walked him down he could of easily outboxed him and not just that but with power behind his shots.

F*** no, Martinez, Hopkins and a prime Taylor are all on GGG's level. Would Kelly have won, probably not, but I wouldn't be able to say with any confidence he wouldn't either.
