Would a prime Pavlik go through GGG's opposition in a similar matter?

How long was Pavliks prime? Wasn't it for a very short period?

A prime Pavlik would maybe lose once or twice, maybe none. But no way in hell he would to it in a similar manner as GGG. GGG is just a 10x times better boxer than Pavlik, whereas Pavlik was more of a slugger and that could potentially cost him.

Dont get fooled by GGG´s stoppages, his pure boxing abilities are an A-A+.

Sergio Martinez is the only one, who i think can beat GGG from Pavliks resume.
GGG-Bhop to me would almost be like watching Kovalev-Bhop again, Golovkin would just hunt him down and pressure him and win a decision. I think Gennady would stop Taylor :bbb

 

Pavlik is the kind of guy who can defeat A level fighters. But against true top p4p level competition I cannot see him winning. Hard to imagine him beating a guy like Golovkin, Jones Jr, Hopkins, Toney, etc.

That's out of his league.

Kelly would run a train through them IMO. He'd also be able to make a lot of fights that Golovkin hasn't been able to by virtue of being a) an American and b) nowhere near as good.

Hopkins schooling Pavlik at the time was a surprise at the time, so much for triangle theory since Hopkins struggled at best against Taylor. ggg's resume is so weak that Pavlik, Old Hopkins and Taylor sweep it with no problems.
