Would a win over Dawson right now be better than a win over Kessler?

If he fought Dawson now, then it wouldn;t be as big a win as Kessler no. If/when Dawson beats Johnson and Diaconu, then it might be a different story. But it depends on how impressive he beats them and if Calzaghe can beat Bhop. Then the fight becomes a possiblity.

Yes. Kessler demonstrated that he lacked the ability to adjust and I saw signs of chinks in his mental armor that led to a frustration that was glaringly apparent in his ring demeanor. He didn't deal with adversity well at all. While I wouldn't call Kessler one-dimensional he doesn't bring as much to the table as Dawson in terms of possessing a multitude of skill sets. Plus Dawson is bigger and faster of foot and hand than Kessler. Dawson also has demonstrated heart in getting up off the canvas to win. I don't think he would cave if he encountered difficulties the way Kessler did.

Calzaghe is a great fighter. Kessler a very good fighter. Dawson is better than Kessler and poses far more problems for Calzaghe.
