Would Abarham have knocked out Direll had that DQ not happened?

    I believe he would have.

Dirrell was attempting to close the show by reviving his Curtis Stevens tactics but Abraham is, to his credit (though pretty limited himself) better at stalking & finding prey than Stevens.

The knockdown in round ten was definitely a knockdown. I don't quite know how the ref deemed it otherwise.
It did look like Direll's legs had lost a touch of their speed and he was geting caught.

Would have been a great win for Abarham. I wonder if Dirrell would fight him again after what happnened?

and the knockdown should have counted,

Yeah, the knockdown is the main reason I think Dirrell's attempts to DLH vs. Tito his way across the finish line were going to fail, sooner or later.

Quite possibly. AA is always dangerous and mentally tough. Dirrell isn't nearly as tough physically or mentally.

Two KDs shoulda been scored in rd 10.

First was an OH in which Dirrel turned his head and then went down to avoid being trapped in the corner. Abe also hit him with a body shot on the way down after Dirrel tried to hold himself up on Abrahams legs.

Second one was an off balance Dirrel getting caught trying to move to his R out of the way of Abe's hook....he was caught cleanly by a R hand and buckled and went straight down.

He wasn't visibly hurt by any of the shots, but you could tell he wasn't happy being in there.
In the 11th, he also went down from a double jab when his L leg was much to fast for his R leg to keep up, almost doing the splits. But Abe STILL landed the shot that put him down.

As for the late hit.....it's not like there was a full second between the KD and late hit. It was instantly.

Although, it could be taken as payback for getting hit in the webbles 1000X without a warning to Dirrel.....or even as payback for not being given credit for 3KDs.

Also.....the result was Dirrel by DQ via INTENTIONAL foul.

I can't see that. There was no way it was intentional as it was heat of the moment.

    Shoudla went to the cards.:think

As for the OP. Yeah, Abe woudla KOd him.:-(

But, I still would've loved to see the fight end naturally. Dirrell 52faked his way out of that fight and I never liked him anyway. But he was ahead on the cards. His brother Anthony was always better to me. He takes more chances.

Yes and Dirrell knew it, hence why he quit and made even Hopkins acting look pretty good.

Direll was starting to break down mentally. The pressure of being there with a hard puncher was getting to him. That being said, he probably would have been able to keep his **** together for another 6 minutes.

People were disappointed because of how good he did against Froch. Why find a way out. Ok you slid down and you did get hit while down, but AA's punch wasn't that hard that he had to quit.

He was tired and AA was coming on. Finish the fight.
