Would Adrian Broner Survive Ruslan Provodnikov?

    Bradey's defense was pretty good against Pacquiao, Marquez, Alexander...hell, everyone he's fought besides Provodnikov. If you think Bradley's defense is subpar, Broner's must be abysmal. Dude gets hit by everything.

    This. Imitating Floyd does not make you the defender Floyd is. Doesn't mean your defense isn't good, but getting hit at will by PDL, Rees, and Paulie is a sign of poor defense.

    'splain yourself, Lucy. Bradley got dropped by Holt, but that punch would have been a 10-count for anyone else. He stood up to an absolute beating by Provodnikov. There's a difference between a guy getting put down occasionally by known punchers and a guy being 'chinny.' Don't kid yourself--those punches from Provodnikov land on almost ANYONE like they did to Bradley and that fighter is going down hard. The question is, could Broner avoid those punches? Not with the defense he's shown so far.

    Bradley is the second best welterweight behind Floyd. Bradley would wipe up the ring with Broner at this point in his career. Agreed on Thurman. Broner would do better against Matthysse than against Provodnikov.

    Yeah, I think we can extrapolate from last night what Ruslan would do to Broner, even at 140. I have always hated to use the word "exposed" just because a fighter loses, but it is entirely appropriate in this case. Broner just has too many weaknesses, and relied upon too few powerful strengths, to be considered on the PFP list at this time in his career. He should go back to lightweight or Jr. Welter and really take on some different types of fighters and add some more skills that would allow him to, for example, beat a volume puncher (Paulie was not a puncher) that can handle his power. Can you imagine how much hurt Shawn Porter would have put on Broner last night?

    140 is actually Ruslan's best weight right now and he would have a size advantage over Broner at that weight.

    Yeah, I think Provo takes out Broner.

    The fight I would love to see now is Broner - Bradley. Now, that would be an interesting fight.

    Let's see what Broner is made of.

    In the Maidana fight we saw that Broner possesses great mental toughness and he is able to absorb a great deal of punishment to the body but in my opinion Provodnikov's attack is even more vicious than Maidana's and I don't see Broner surviving and hearing the final bell against Provodnikov due to Provodnikov's vicious style.
