Would AJ have been exposed had he fought Wilder in 2017?

I'd have favoured Wilder. Whether people like it or not i'd argue prime Wilder was the most explosive HW ever - by definition the distance he could cover in such a short amount of time with power was a league of its own.

 

They both had vulnerabilities to expose. Could have gone either way.

Yes, Joshua doesn't respond well to fighters who hit hard. That's why he's exclusively fought old men and boxers rather than punchers.

 

He couldnt have lasted 12 rounds, but he wouldnt necessarily have had to.

I think AJ is the better overall boxer but h2h i'd slightly favour Wilder. Its a close fight though and largely depends on who lands first.

 

Wilder pre Fury would have have brutally knocked Joshua out inside of three rounds if not earlier ! Let’s not forget that the Wilder v Joshua fight could not be made so Fury stepped in and went over to America whilst not fully fit and was robbed on the cards. Did Wilder and Fury both ruin each other in there Trilogy ? I honestly believe so.

 

Wilder would have KO'd Joshua. No doubt.
