In my mind it will be almost identical to Haye Vs Harrison. The whole thing, the build up, the fight itself.

Lots would be made of Prices power in the build up and they will try and con everybody in to thinking it's more competitive than it actually is, they will sell it hard.

But reality will kick in about 30 seconds after the first bell when we see Price basically running backwards, not engaging with his left arm stuck out to try and keep AJ off.

Then Joshua will just step it up and stop him and we will all be in here slaughtering Hearn, Sky, Joshua, Price and some will be saying "I'll never buy another Sky PPV again".

if this fight were to happen I'd hope coldwell basically gets in his head and basically trains him for 3 rounds where he throws a lot in the hope he lands, dillian whyte isn't great but caught Joshua and gave him problems so there's something for price to target and make it a bit less of a joke fight

Only way to make it a bit less of a joke fight would be to swap the name Price with Fury...

Would rather see Price against Haye and AJ take on Jennings.
Ideally Haye to step up to face AJ on Dec 10th! but not going to happen.

Haye could spark out both Price and Bellew, put that to bed before going on to his mandatory shot at the WBO.
Massive unification with either AJ or Klit would await him too

Kept up with Price since before Beijing in 08 and would love to see him shock the world but I just can't get excited about this fight. I'm disappointed in him for seemingly just wanting to cash out because you can't go from fighting who he has to Joshua and seriously hold ambitions of winning. I believe had he had some progressive tough fights like the discussed Chisora/Whyte building confidence and testing his skills along the way he could have stood a chance vs AJ. The much more likely option now is that Price will get beat badly and nobody really wants to see that.

The general opinion of Price now is that he's always been shite but if you look back at the likes of Dallas and Audley fights and how he lets his hands go, it's devastating and just shows the difference in confidence which has now ruined him. He was using the jab properly in them days too. The jab is his biggest problem not his chin or stamina because he's obviously always had them issues and got away with it. His jab is a counterpunchers dream now, terrified of leaving himself open by throwing a proper one is doing exactly that. He can't build anything from that terrible pawing thing he does and it certainly doesn't make people think twice about walking him down to ko him.

In a fight like this I'd usually hope for AJ walking into something but I don't even think David will throw anything so....

I honestly think Whyte and probably Breazeale would at worst have a chance at this version of Price

Whyte beats any version of Price.

He throws a lot of punches, has no fear, and has a very good chin. All things that would be a nightmare for Price.

Agreed. I think Breazeale and a game Charles Martin would similarly fancy the job too.

Outside of AJ victims, would Chisora fancy landing something on that fragile mandible? Prob. Pulev def would as would Ustinov, Takam, Parker, Haye, Jennings, Miller, **** even Browne would prob back himself to get the KO. That's how poor Price's chin is seen as and with his lack of defence his only hope is to try and bomb people out. Unfortunately for him he doesn't seem to have the type of heart needed to go for broke like that. He fights scared post the Thompson losses.

Price vs AJ would be a better fight than Molina. Molina is as terrible as Price, knocking a shot to **** Adamek while being down by large margin on every scorecard means nothing..

Honestly i think price has always been not good enough. I m amazed watching him back people had such high hopes for him. Always pawed with the jab. Watching the audley fight. Audley looked frightened for his life from the get go as per usual. chucked himself down at the first chance he got. Tbf it was a 40 year old audley that looked like he hadnt been training.

To put things in perspective a 40 year old thompson finished him in about 3 rounds with a pretty soft shot the first time then completely folded him the second time in about 5 rounds. Its not confidence thats suddenly changed the game for price. Hes never had it to begin with. Its the fact hes not good enough for the level. Hence he doesnt want to fight any live challengers whatsoever. Just binmen or aj. Thats usually the giveaway.

He needs to retire or get serious about the sport. The worst thing he can do is take on aj if he is infact serious about the sport.

I agree Audley looked scared but I'm sure he was out on his feet he didn't just give up. The first Thompson one was a behind he ear shot that didn't look like much but either way it finished him. The more worrying one is the second one where he completely gassed and even turned his back. Nervous energy or not it showed he was mentally ****ed before it and had a lack of heart. It's easy to say in hindsight but Frankellie whatever probably shouldn't have allowed the rematch straight away but let's not forget he had TT on his back side so things could have been so different.

I would agree it looks like he has no belief he can get himself to a high level and win and he's just looking to cash out which disappoints me. As you say he should get serious and try to build up to a level by fighting proper opponents like Chisora, Allen and as someone mentioned Charles Martin. At least they'd get him noticed.

Agree heres jonny he had audley out...it wasnt a dive. Just that audley looked like he wanted out from the start before a punch was even thrown.

The problem i ve got is thompson was finished in six rounds with wlad the fight before prices. Had a lay off at 43 came to prices hometown and beat him in two. With what looked like a pretty average punch. Everyone was stunned when the punch ended it. Maybe just a freak but he came back again and finished it in five. I ve rarely seen anyone fold like price did that night. Tbf to him he was just too tired in the end. Regardless tho...we ve had excuses of too much pressure fighting at home. Anxiety attack. First fight was a freak shot. Thompson a forty three year old well past his best was too soon for him. Lennox lewis messed up his game plan. Etc etc. The truth is if hes not getting past thompson at that stage...hes probably not destined for the top. Even if he lost a close decision to thompson he could defo regroup but second and fifth round thompson pretty much exposed every weakness he has in them two fights.

Thompson then went on to lose 4 of his next 6 fights. Albeit against fairly decent competition. But even malik scott beat him.

Then teper who only had 14 fights at the time. Knocked him out cold in 2 rounds. Its not like hes taking them to points in a close fight. Their knocking him out early. Neither teper or thompson were really top contenders at the time either.

Now if teper and a 43 year old thompson are doing that what chance does he have against probably the most powerful heavyweight in the world. Josh has his flaws but hes a good but more powerful than thompson and teper. Its a complete mismatch at this stage probably at any stage. But at least get out there and get building the right way to give you half a chance.

Tbh...after all that. I actually like price would love to see him make me eat my words. And at this point i m saying just make the fight...the other names left although better than price arent anything to get excited about. Just more frustrated at guys like price who should still have ambition left to build a career. Hes still got oppertunities out there. Instead just wants to waste everyones time.

Them guys you mentioned would be perfect for him btw. He probably still needs another one or two before them tho. But thats the type of guys he should be looking at.
