Would Ali and Frazier have been too good for Fury and Joshua?

Frazier was a better body puncher than AJ and Fury, AJ doesn`t like fighting shorter fighters he has trouble catching punching downwards, he got hit with a lot of counter hooks v Ruiz and Povetkin, Frazier`s money punch.

Maybe but we'll have to see him fight Usyk to confirm this. Fury is slick but his hitbox is 3 times larger than Savon and he isnt as mobile. Usyk would probably be the closest to Savon

Frazier loses to both AJ and Fury, imo.

    Ali beats AJ

Ali vs Fury is epic and I cant call it. I suppose I edge it to Ali due to speed... but if Furys coming to Maul him then I just think it will be a rough night for Ali. But I do think he has the power to get Furys respect, and the ability to do so. So... epic fight, that one.

Yes AJ has so much trouble with shorter fighters that’s why he has convincingly beat every shorter fighter he’s fought. Frazier’s weakness is getting outmuscled, I’m positive AJ and Fury have the size and strength to pull it off.

Fury doesn`t punch harder than Frazier did and can`t fight on the inside to the elite level that Frazier could, AJ lost to Ruiz and used excessive movement to win the rematch he would have to throw far more punches than he did if he were to beat Frazier, Povetkin gave AJ all he could handle and AJ looked sluggish v Takam, as for Ali he dealt with an 84 inch reach when he neutralised Liston`s jab, something AJ has never done.

Aj doesn’t need excessive movement to beat Frazier he’ll just use his aggression, superior size, speed, reach, height, strength, power, and blasts Frazier out early. Sorry but your not gonna convince me that Frazier has any chance vs AJ

Agression is what got him killed against Ruiz. As small as Frazier is at 205lb. Hes an excellent counter puncher and has WAY better head movement than Joshua or Ruiz. Aj doesn't fight like Foreman. Hypothetically if Aj and Frazier fought. Aj would be getting backed up because Frazier is the better inside fighter. Joshua isn't Riddick Bowe (who i believe would destroy Frazier). He fights his opponents at mid range not on the inside. Frazier would be applying pressure nonstop. Joshua is way stronger but he was also stronger than Povetkin who himself gave Joshua a hard time. Joshua doesn't try to overpower his opponents unless he has them hurt.

I think Joshua beats Frazier but he would not run through him. Holyfield was also a small guy in his prime. 205-210 and i think we all agree he'd beat Joshua. And again im not a classic boxing fanboy blinded by nostalgia. Trust me some people in the classic forum **** me off. I just look at things objectively

He may be "hyped" to some degree but he's not just hype...

He's currently very much top 2/3. Takes more than hype to get there.

Whether he stays there is another matter.

A hype as you call him who is the champion, a very rich champion, and has majority of the title belts, oh i wish i was such a hype.
AJ has defended titles more than Dempsey, Marciano and Johnson ever did, so were these hype jobs too?
AJ indeed has his failings, but too date he has overcome these, albeit needing a rematch on one occasion.

Well, Ali in 1960 ies was approx 215 lbs and moved like he was 175 lbs.
In 1960 ies he didn't had absorbed damages;) and looked the same in 1960 th and the same in 1966 th. ;)

I don't think that he was stronger than Ali.
Frazier had very good gas tank and was very productive with his hooks and half hooks, also had both hands to use for this.
Exactly cos this reason he managed to land on Ali damn a lot punches.
Each fight vs Frazier looks that had impacted Ali at least a bit permanently.
Shavers too had impacted him a lot.
Then Foreman, looks that Foreman landed on him low number of punches if compare with Frazier.

Most likely because otherwise he was not capable to stand and ate bombs in long rows in 70 ies.

Frazier had faster head movement and his counter hooks were quicker, look how many counter hooks he landed v Ali in their first fight, AJ`s head is stiff and too stationary.

AJ is a good fight and Frazier was a very good fighter, AJ has a fast jab and fast combo`s.
