without a doubt. if Ali didn't toy with an opponent physically, he'd do it mentally. Ali still stands out. favoritism aside, when have u seen a heavyweight unleash 5-6 or more punch combos the speed a welterweight would? most heavyweights either stand out offensively because they have a great right hand, a left hook, and in rarer cases a great jab, like Holmes. let's not forget the phantom punch. i do believe that styles do make fights, but Ali always found a way to win and improvise. if there was a doubt to his supremacy he went in there again like he did with frazier and norton. i'm a fan of dr. ironfist, but imo prime Ali would beat him in a SD.

i woulda loved to of have seen Ali vs. Toney. i know Ali woulda done to james at heavy like rjj did to him at middle, but the prefight conferences woulda had more yelling then cris crocker at a state pen. a prime foreman would match a prime david tua in power, who's probably can be considered the earnie shavers or most devastating puncher of the last decade or so. i think a prime holyfield could of beaten Ali and then Ali beats him in the rematch and rubber matches.

Let me get this straight a slow, unskilled arm puncher who tires after the 3rd rd would dismantle a peak Ali, just because he was leading a 38yr old, fat, out of shape way past prime Lewis before he got stopped. Wow.

You should not disrespect boxingchamps. Winning a championship is a great achievement.
The boxing politics of today has made it easier to be recogniced as a champion. Klitscho came back after a 4 year lay-off and got a title-shot and he can now call himself for WorldChampion.
That does not make him greater or better than Muhammed Ali who came back after 3½ year, defeated to top-rated contenders and then failed to regain his old title against Joe Frazier.
I don´t think Klitscho would have had a chance against the Joe Frazier of March 1971. Klitscho versus Ali ? - take a look at Ali-Cleveland Williams and you get the picture of Ali totally outclassing the bigger, slow Klitscho.
Larry Holmes would have outjapped Klitscho.
