    That I'll concede.

Any nation that hosts a downhill race between people and a wheel of cheese deserves to survive.

I used to mangle the quote feature and other user options horribly, but now I've finally progressed to the point I can weaponize them a bit. (Still, I don't want to yank @Boxed Ears chain too much, because I fear him...

In reality, Muhammad did try using Thyrolar as a PED for Holmes by doubling the dose without telling anybody, after discovering that the prescribed amount slightly improved his speed and reflexes. Then he quickly discovered in the ring that doubling his Thyrolar completely reversed how it had been working for him. Then, he used his attempt at deception through trying Thyrolar as a PED as his excuse for losing. (This is like Holyfield using steroids as his excuse for his heart partially working during Moorer I.)

Many dedicated Muslims were very displeased and disappointed that Ali attempted this. If his deception had worked and he somehow dethroned Holmes, we never would have heard about the Thyrolar, just more of "I am the Greatest!"

Just how badly did his stupid Thyrolar overdose mess him up against Larry? Well while he still wouldn't have won if he continued to take his Thyrolar as prescribed, he definitely would've lasted the Championship Distance. Holmes said in his autobiography that in sharp contrast to when he sparred with Muhammad for Kinshasa, Ali's immense strength in the clinches was completely gone. Now he was extremely weak and enervated. And it's true he was perspiring hardly at all. He never did sweat much, but you do still see him sweat in hot outdoor weather. (On the other hand, guys like Foreman, Holmes and Lyle perspired very heavily.)

Berbick revealed just how much his Thyrolar overdose screwed him up against Holmes. His physical strength was back for Trevor, as he held the Jamaican at arm's length in the clinches while Berbick flailed away to the GOAT's body. Trevor said in their post fight press conference that unlike Holmes, Ali left his head and neck area feeling sore. (Berbick also said prior to their bout that a win over Ali was still good. In fact, the GOAT actually did do better against Trevor in the Bahamas than John Tate previously had in Montreal. Indeed, several months later, Berbick handed Page his first career defeat, and Ali actually did better against Trevor than Greg did.)

The whole topic is a trick question.

Ali WAS better than Ali. Everybody knows that.
