Would Ali really do well in today’s era without going to the body?

You saw what Ruiz did to Joshua. Speed kills.

He fought by his speed and stature. Would be too small today for that at 6'2" 79" inches...

Try to lean back against Fury...

Ali would not have even worked up a sweat beating these "champions." He was a 200 lb boxer with Welterweight skills.

What does that mean? What exclusive skills do welterweights have that fighters in other weight divisions do not possess?

Ali threw a lot of jabs to the chest, surely they count as body shots

Why would he lean back against Fury? Fury wouldn't be the one forcing any action, Ali's jab would be cutting Fury apart, to the head and body.

That was his entire defence. Fury is the modern day Ali. Lazy jab and Lean back, using his range advantage.

    Fury>>>Ali.

Fury is no where near as good as Ali, at anything. His defence was due to his speed and footwork as well as leaning back, but Fury wouldn't be walking forward throwing combinations at Ali he'd be on the ropes or trying to lean on Ali, and in both scenarios he gets ripped to the body and head. Ali is MUCH faster than Fury

Ali was too quick and smart. He would do extremely well in today’s era.

This. Ali was faster, more skilled, and twice as experienced.

Perfect example. He kept touching that body, then took it upstairs. But he also slipped punches in that fight, ducked, bobbed, weaved & added footwork, it was a masterpiece!

For me there are literally (2) Ali. 1970 he went 45 rounds with Norton, 40+ Rounds with Frazier, nearly everyone went the distance with him, so I can see the same happening today. Ali can't go to the ropes against any era and expect to get gift wins.

The Ali that fought from 64-67 did go to the body. He outboxes and a few get busted up bad in today's era.
The Ali that fought from 1970 on...is a 50/50 tossup as there is nothing scientific IMO about leaning on the ropes like a dope and calling it great defense, let alone an offense without body punching.

He'd run this era like a bath
