I wouldn't rule it out. Lewis had a sub-par chin and got himself KTFO on a couple of occasions. Hell if Rahman could do it surely Ali could as well. More likely though is Ali winning a comfortable 15 round decision over the slow Lewis.
You can easily make an argument that Ali got a lucky decision against the 188 pound Doug Jones and was almost KO'ed and revived with illegal tactics against 186 pound Cooper...how is he going to survive against a 6'5 skilled power puncher? What does Lewis being caught twice by big punche have anything to do with his chances against Ali? If there is one thing Ali doesn't have, it's one punch power and that was the only thing that ever beat Lewis. Lewis would easily walk through Norton and Frazier. Ruddock was probably on a similar level to Norton and Lewis just starched him.
Because the way you worded it, you made it sound like he was getting KO'd in about every other fight. You could have been a bit more specific dude... it was two. Two. That's way quicker to write than 'a couple'.
Well yeah... but a couple can also (and usually) mean more than two. Two isn't a very hard number to remember. It's right after one.
I said a couple meaning two. English isn't my first language, so pardon me if I should have worded it differently.
Haha, nah don't worry about it, dude. I'm just being anal, probably because I haven't had my coffee yet.
I dont think English is his first language ether, a couple means two, always has and always will. Me thinks he's being over defensive of lewis, few doubt his qualitys as a great. For clarity, No it does not. It means 2. or "a Pair". 2. Back on topic, i think that personally, a on game lewis beats anyone in history. He is way to clever and to big - Big George Forman once said he thought Lennox was the best heavyweight fighter he ever saw as a package. I tend to agree.
Yeah, sorry guys... I was being a bit over protective I guess. Still really hungover. In my defense I thought he was using it as an idiom though: This content is protected "a couple of, more than two, but not many, of; a small number of; a few: It will take a couple of days for the package to get there. Also, a couple." If you use it as an idiom it can mean more than two.
To be honest, thats easy to do around here So much trolling makes it easy to slip in to defense mode. i know ive done it a bunch of times lol..
I am not sure it is possible but I think unlikely. I remember hearing that Scott Ledoux sparred with Lennox Lewis and he described him as Foreman with speed! Ali was still probably faster, was a very big heavyweight in his own right, had an excellent chin, and had a pair of stones that were nearly unmatched in boxing history. In their primes, I would go with Ali on points over Lennox.
Absolutely no. Lewis too smart to get stopped by Ali. I think Ali would always struggle with Lewis' style and size.
