Ali wouldn't wear prime Lewis down, they'd both be tired from their efforts, don't know why I bother, you probably think 66 Ali beats every HW 10/10 right? Your "hands down" comment gives that impression. Well I for one don't think any of the top ATG HWs ever win "hands down" against another.

no need to be extremist, 66 Ali was slick and fast while he always had some decent pop so even if not winning 10/10 with any other ATG he had tools to KO other ATG HW with the ratio say 3/10 ... so the question is still open, would he be able to KO Lewis?

If yes then how, more like a flash KO (as when Lewis was caught by Rahman or McCall) or more like an accumulative stoppage as vs Frazier or somethings clever as against Foreman?

No, but he would have won a wide UD.

No. He probably would have won the decision though, deserved or undeserved.

You mean Ali would be favored by refs?

There's no way Ali would KO Lewis. He might beat him on points but a KO is pretty much out of the question. People have to remember that Foreman pretty much KO'd himself from exhaustion..and Ali's power had almost nothing to do with it. Ali had some power, but nothing compared to many of the fighters Lewis has fought during his career.

I could see him stopping lewis before i see him outboxing lewis. Ali never fought a guy this big, with this reach, an this much power, an talent to go with it.

How would this happen? Ali wasn't one to go for the body and wear a fighter down, nor did he have explosive power.

ali was too fast..and fighters had better endurance and heart in those days...lewis has never fought anyone with that kind of speed. in a 15 round fight ali wins a wide range ud or a close ud in a 12 round fight...

nope. I never said that. and Ali had better stamina then Lewis. Usually fighters don't fight eachother more then once. so I think Ali conceivably beats every other HW, he would probably lose once in a trilogy, who really knows. he definitely beats Lewis though, and in a trilogy Lewis might take one but Ali takes the others by decision or late stoppage.

and? Lewis could be worn out himself, he didn't always have great stamina, Ali maintained great stamina throughout his whole career. It took Ali to be 38 years old shot Ali with signs of parkensions syndrome to get stopped. it took two punches from bums like McCall and Rahman to stop Lewis. so why is it out of the question. Ali is more accurate and faster then both of these men, and he's good at getting durable tough men out. Ali stopped Lyle, foreman, bonavena, Frazier, and other durable fighters. I don't know if Lewis is as durable or has the same stamina as these guys besides foreman. I'm sure Lewis would get worn out.

Personally I don't think Ali punches are hard as either McCall or Rahman, but obviously you do.

I also don't think Ali would be able to hit Lewis at will considering Lewis' power and height advantage, and jabbing skills. Meaning I simply don't believe Ali would land his punches are anywhere near the same rate as he did against Frazier, not even close, and look how much landed punches it took to actually get Frazier out. It wasn't power that did it, it was an accumulation of punches that did it. As for Lewis having stamina problems, I guess I messed those fights where he gave up cause he was too tired to continue. My bad.
