sorry to disappoint you but there is not to much of a logic in English "a couple" isn't the same as "a couple of" .... "couple of" is a double standard, may have a meaning of "exactly two" and "at least two" ... only the one who uses it in the sentence knows the exact meaning. I believe the first guy used it deliberately as "at least two" to strength his own point then he backed out to the safety bringing his bad English as an excuse.
Let's use a little math regarding this claim, and I'll be conservative. Lewis fought 44 fights, of which 32 resulted in him KO'ing his opponent. Let's say these fights average 3 rounds so that's 32*3 = 96 rounds. Then 12 went the distance. So that's another 120 rounds, but let's round that down because he may have fought 4, 6 and 8 round fights at the beginning of his career, so let's round this down from 120 to 104. so let's say he fought 200 rounds, and let's say the output of his opponents was extremely dismal and they only landed a miserable 5 power punches a round so that's about 1,000 power punches he received over the course of his career. And 2 knocked him out. So that's .2% of all the punches he received, and you're complaining about his whiskers??
I agree - on everything. Widdow has made a good point. Ali was, at the time, generally the bigger man in the ring and fought accordingly. Pretty much the same advantage Lewis and the 2 brothers have (had) recently. Could they cope with being the smaller man? If they had to, but they haven't had to often. And neither did Ali.
No KO, maybe a feet stoppage if he lands a good combo and just lets the hands go I seriously doubt Ali has the kinda pop to do that but maybe Ali could find a way to get Lennox to tire, especially if they fought a 15 round fight
I said a couple meaning two. I have made that quite clear. No excuses. I'm perfectly aware of Lummox' record thank you.
So do you think any accumulative stoppage would be possible vs Lennox? ... maybe if he is getting tired at the end and Ali would deliver constantly accurate punches as vs Frasier III?
No he had the right to go on he wasnt that bad he was complaining he shouldve been let go, no doubt he would be on his back like Sanders kept doing to Wlad but he had that right
