Don't expect Khan to look like a million dollars in this fight. Paulie is far more intelligent than khan, has better defense than Khan, and has far better movement around the ring than Khan. He'll be an awkward opponent, one that Khan has no experience of dealing with.

It wouldn't surprise me if Paulie squeezes a win, or loses a contraversial decision. Either way, he's not gonna make things easy for Khan.

But on the night, I'll be cheering on Khan for sure. Paulie's a *****

May well do since he doesnt really have to worry about a hugh shot coming at him and huring that chinny of his

They're only wanting Khan to fight Malignaggi because he won't have to worry about anything powerful hitting that horrendous chin of his

Khan doesn't really have a "style"...he's just a basic boxer-puncher. His style only looks good if he brutally ko's someone. Defense is basic and not very flashy, offense is just your basic punches thrown behind a gayass flicking little jab, absolutely no infighting skills, etc. Just never pleasing to watch unless he ends the fight with a sweet combination.

This is why he won't look good against Paulie...he stands almost no chance whatsoever of stopping him. I think that Paulie's clowning might get into his head as well, and imo, Paulie's jab is better and he will control the range. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Paulie drops him either, because Paulie is so sparing with his right hand that it comes unexpectedly the 3-5 times he throws it per fight. If he clips Khan cleanly, I can see Khan going down.

Paulie's style is going to get exposed mark my words, Paulie is going to get shocked in the 1st round with Khan's handspeed.

I see Pualie dropping his head and holding on for most of the fight. Khan finds his range very fast, he will not give Paulie a chance to reset, his workrate is much higher, and will press straight down the middle, Paulie's head is keep going to get rocked back.

Some people mistake speed for skills...most of these people seem to be Khan fans

Malignaggi has been in with much better fighters than Khan has ever dreamed of getting in the ring with.

If you call throwing pitter pat punches at the gloves and fighting like a miniature robot then yes Khan can look good.

I wonder how Khan will react when Malignagi hits him with a solid jab... :D

WTF is up with these "guidos"? I mean, it's really insane. I watched a part of that Jersey Shore show the other day. First time I'd seen it. That **** is nuts.

What is the world coming to?

I thought Malignaggi was just kind of fruity or something. I had no idea this "guido" sub-culture existed.

Oh, and to the question. I think this is a tough fight, and if Kahn wins he won't look spectacular. If it's close, then he will likely get the decision.

Can't help but notice there's two kinds of posters on this topic:

    1. those who offer relatively objective observations, usually without picking a winner; only stating the matchup and particular facets of it.

    2. the Khan brigade that love his handspeed (but ignore all his limitations), that make semi-whimsical posts about Paulie being annihilated in a ridiculously short time, or with incredible ease.

Paulie is a smart, tough and experienced fighter, and a big step up for Khan (in MANY ways), this isn't going to be a shutout.

Paulie doesn't have what anybody would call real power but he did drop N'dou and shook Diaz with a right hand. I see this as being a pretty competitive fight.

He may have a low KO% but I still wouldn't want to take a flush shot off him ..

Anyhow, Khan's been decked by smaller, older, worse fighters than Paulie - who knows, Khan may visit the canvas in this one .. ?

khan will beat malignaggi easily but will get abuse if he doesnt KO him. he will have to sit on his punches more to KO him though

Excellent observation. Brit fans routinely cite Khan's handspeed, but as you so correctly pointed out, the advantage he will possess over Paulie in this regard will be modest. Whatever Mags' limitations (punching power notable among them), handpeed is certainly not one of them. Moreover, I thing Mags moves more fluidly in the ring than Khan does.
