Ward definitely has the frame to fight at CW.

But his grappling skills would be completely nullified vs a man his own size or bigger.

That said.... If Ward put on 8-10 lbs of lean muscle... He would easily be 210 on fightnight.

He's defo faster than DK...got a better jab 1-2.
How his chin would hold up is a mystery.

He's never been chin checked by an elite fighter and Boone...who is the ultimate chin checker...just isn't a big man. A natural SMW who just goes N or S to do his checking.

Vs Kessler and Froch he was able to spoil with his holding and bumping his skull of their noses keeping them wanting to fight outside.

From the outside he'd throw low or lunge in with his iron dome making them not want to throw first.

Surely against a guy his own size like DK.... He would get checked properly.

Though I believe his jab and 1-2 win him this fight 9-3 8-4 maybe he hits the deck couple times but gets home town count and officiating and eeks out a decision.

Sure DK is a BIG CW....And there would be a considerable size difference.

But Wards frame would EASILY support 210.

There's a pic of him and USS out there and he's the bigger man.

USS was a top 3 CW and is a top 20ish HW.
Wards chin is better. His over all skill level is probably better.

I'd EASILY PICK WARD OVER USS at 200.

He's much thicker boned than Cleverly and Cleverly would give DK some issues on an on night.

He weighs in excess of 185-190 on fightnight.

Did JCC JR fight at 160 BC that's what his frame was suited for???

I'm sure Ward could still boil down to 160 if he felt weak at 68.
But he'd lose his speed and likely his power and punch resistance and would have only his watermelon head as his offense.
Basically what he does at 68 with less speed and power.

Ward will have his hands full with other 185+ fighters at SMW like Zurdo Dirrels and Bika. Mof....bika gave him fits there first time out.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if they fought a second time and Bika took 5 RDS off him.
