Would another ear-biting boxer have fought again?

We all remember the bite fight don't we? Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield's ear... both ears actually. And for his actions, he was punished with a... one year ban. Would another boxer have been allowed to fight after being involved in such a gruesome act? If yes, who?

Personally, I don't think that would have been the case with anyone else. Maybe Muhammad Ali, I don't know.

There have been other biting incidents which resulted in pretty much no punishment.

    Andrew Golota-Samson P’ouha, Michael Bentt-Herbie Hide, Luis Lazarte-Ulises Solis

I don’t think they got caught in the act, but it’s not like they didn’t video evidence of the obvious bites. Tyson-Holyfield 2 was such a huge event and there were 2 bites, so he was going to suffer some punishment.

The whole Lazarte-Solis fight was completely ridiculous and complete hometown cooking that he didn’t get DQ’d.

Lazarte later on helped incited a riot during a fight and threatened to kill the ref.

Yeah considering how many things fighters have gotten away with both In and out of the ring I think so

Pretty sure Mysterious Billy Smith got DQ’d for biting more than once.

But that guy was always doing something mysterious.
