Would anybody else be interested in a Cunningham/Tarver showdown?

They've had a little history and it almost happened before. I think this is the best Cunningham and Tarver can ask for at heavyweight and past it, and I'd like to see Cunningham get that payday. I think it's a toss up. They're both very capable as far as I'm concerned and it might surprise a little with a great fight.

USS would blast Milkdud into Bolivian™. He couldn't even beat Kayode while juiced up, so how on earth would he be able to beat current Cunnungham?!

A shot to smithereens, fat LHW, fighting a top 20 hw..

    Why? Who dies it benefit.

Cunningham is not at the age where he can be wasting his time fighting these fights.

This would have been an interesting fight in 2011, when Tarver stopped Green and Cunningham was the IBF cruiserweight champion and considered to be the #1 of that weight class.

But Cunningham had a contract with Sauerland (cus he barely got a good fight in the US) and had to fight the other guys signed to Sauerland (Ross, Licina, Hernandez).

Now? Cunninham is waiting for a IBF heavyweight eliminator against Glazkov, I guess.
Pulev will fight against Wlad, Wilder will try to get the WBC title, Fury/Chisora will try to get a shot by gaining the first position in the WBO's rating.

On the other hand, Tarver didn't prove anything in the heavyweight division and his last fight wasn't on Showtime.

In 2006, after the Rocky-Balboa-Movie, there were rumours for Tarver to fight on abc network. But now? He's not that "big name" in the heavyweight division who can give USS a payday.

I think it's more of a waste of time to chase someone like Klitschko or even Stiverne, because they've got other guys much more likely lined up. I think he should focus on action oldies circuit type fights and Tarver has a selling point with a history. If he fights someone like for instance Arreola, my opinion, it's just going to be him outboxing Arreola till he gets kayo'd against a lower level contender. I'd rather see him in against a former champ that won't likely knock him out were there's good, reasonably safe money. He may have to fight on for a while with his family troubles and he can't afford to be getting into Tyson Fury type wars and knocked out by these huge guys anymore if he wants to keep boxing. That's why I think Tarver would make sense and also be interesting.
